Denominators | Fractions



LI: Add and Multiply with like and unlike denominators.
This week for math we are learning to Add and multiplhy with like and unlike denominators.
We had to use a google slide to explain our workings. I did the question of 2/3 + 3/4, We had to show our working and explain the way we did it. We had to pretend we are explaining something it someone. For Maths we had two get completely different denominators and try and change them into the same denominators. I got the answer of 15/12, The reason i got this answer is because i times the two denominators and then times the two numerators with the two new denominators. Then i times the  the top numbers and keep the two denominators because they were the same. After i completed these steps it gave me the answer of 15/12 and the was my real answer.

Fairy Tale, Legends and Myths

LI: To understand the meaning of Fairy Tale, Legends and Myths

This week for reading we learnt about Fairy Tale, Legends and Myths. I worked with Victoria. We looked at this story that told us about what Fairy Tale, Legends and Myths are. I learnt that some Legends are based on historical facts, I also learnt that some legends can be fake but still be
believed. I learnt that a fairy tale has lots of conflict that can be solved into solutions, I also learnt that a fairy tale normally at least 2 magical things. I learnt that a myth is believed by false gods, I also learnt that most myths are based on gods, demigods, and the explanation of a natural fact. Before we wrote this we had to make a copy of the google drawing and the google slide that Mr Wong created. On the google slide we had to use a general knowledge and see we we should put all the things that we use when we read books. if you go through the google slide you will see where we put all the things we use to help us with reading. We went on a google drawing and compared a fairy tale, a legend and a myth, We read from the story and wrote the facts that we found on the google drawing.

Quiz Show


LI. This term for inquiry we learnt about the Circulatory system, the respiratory system, the Nervous system and the digestive system. We spent nine weeks learning about all these system. When it came to the 10th week we did a challenge day and it was all the groups vs each other. The groups were The quizzers, The Living inquiry learners, The class clown crushers, the cobras, the quiz boys, the living girls, The wolves, The sculpture crushers and the boogers. The winner for the quiz game was the wolves.

For the start of the quiz we did drawing. We drew 6 things but some people had to go to times because there whole group was not there. One of the drawing was stomach esophagus and liver. Than we did sculpting, Sculpting was a bit hard because the things that Mr Wong gave out was hard to sculpt. After the sculpting we did the main part of the quiz, The quiz time. When Mr Wong was asking the question he asked a question that a group brought and that group forgot there answer. After we finish we looked at the scores and the wolves on

Commenting | Mojtaba


This week for commenting i commented on mojtaba's blog post. He bloged about Man and see. I really enjoyed seeing his link up for his quiz but hope adds more detail to his next blurb. I commented
on mojtaba's blog post because he was doing man and sea and i have heard that it is a very interesting book to read. I also commented on mojtaba's blog post because i have never commented on one of the boys one and mojtaba was the closest.

ASB Get Wise



This week for ASB get wise we learnt about how to save up money.

We learnt about cash goals, Cash goals stand for Clear, Action, Save and How long.
When he wrote down what they all stand for he told us what they mean. So for clear
clear is the size, the color, the shape, the brand, the model and the cost.

For Action, Action is taking responsibility into your own hands and the way that goes is
if someone needs you to mow their lawns you take responsibility and own up to it
by helping them and saying i will do it.

For save, Save is the way you save your money and the where you save you money.
For example if you were wanting nike shoes that cost $150 earn 15 dollars per week
and spend 5 dollars per week it will take 15 weeks to get the nike shoes you wanted.

For How long, How long is like when you start saving up lets say 2011 and your friend strats
saving up in 2013, Then you will have more money then your friend because you started saving
2 years before her.
