This week for kiwi can we have been learning about perseverance, Team work and Resilience. This week for kiwi can games we played on the courts. The first thing we talked about was our theme and topic which are resilience and perseverance. We talked about what they are and what they mean. Resilience means recover from difficult situations and perseverance means trying your best and never giving up.
This week for kiwi can we played too games which were tangled and invisible touch. In tangled we had to spread out and somebody would be in and if you got touched by the tagger you have two hold hands or link onto each others elbows. In tangled you would have two work as a team because if you split up then you could tag anyone. The other reason you have two work as a team is so you can tag them more faster and so you don't go your own ways. It was a bit completed at the start because people wanted to do there own things but then they completed there goal at the end by working together.
In invisible touch there would be two groups which is group one and group two. When we got into our groups we had to wait until Mrs lily called a number from two to five and if you got called a number like four, four people from the start would have two run behind the netball hoop and get the ball first, If you ran to the pole before the other team did you would have the ball and if you got touch the other player would have the ball but you could not tag back the player that tagged. We learnt that in invisible touch we had to stick with the player in your team so if that player gets tagged then you can tag the player that tagged your team mate and score a try. In the last game all the players from each team played against each other including Mr Matt and Mr Ogilvie. Unfortunately our team lost but at least we tried our best.
After the games we sat down and talked about what was hard and what was easy. People found things difficult to do because people were frustrated who had the ball and people were saying they had the ball. Then we all did the kiwi can chant and got 5 points for everyone we did because we showed team work, perseverance and resilience just like they asked.

Kiwi can
This week for kiwi can we have been leaning about perseverance and resilience. In kiwi can Mr Matt was talking to us about the games we did last week which was target zone and perseverance challenge and the new topic that kiwi can chose. This week for kiwi can we played two games which was called add on and no frustration. The first game we played was add on and the second game we played was no frustration.
In add on we had to get in a circle, but the circle could have no gaps at all. After we got into a circle one person who put their hand up would go stand next some one and would have to rock paper scissors, when they rock paper scissors they would have to add up their own number and there opponents number. Who ever played the person who was first would win. At the end of the game Mr Ogilvie and Mr Matt played against each other. They both had drew en two but the last round Mr ogilvie had one
The next game we played was no frustration, In no frustration we had to sit in a groups of seven and in my group was Alayah, Karlos, Akuhata Lerenzo and Matthew. In this game we got a quarter of a pack of cards from Mr Matt and with these cards we would have to build a tower, Mr Matt said it doesn't have to be a tall one but it has to be a fancy one. My group built a pyramid but then in the last 30 seconds it fell down so we just built a flat structure. The group who won was Andrews group. After we played that game, we played GKQ. In GKQ we had to get in a circle and just like add on we would have to stand up and answer the question that Mr Matt or Mr Ogilvie would ask.

Kiwi can
LI: To solve your problems by asking for help. This week for kiwi can we were learning about asking for help and problem solving. When we walked into the class I saw 7 hoops on the floor, Miss Lily and Mr Matt told us to sit in a circle around the hoops so we did. Then we talked about our topic and theme, Our topic was solving problem and our them was Resilience. After we talked about that we jumped straight into our energizer, Our energizer was called hoop to hoop.
In this game we had to split into too groups, One person from each group had to run from opposite sides in the hopes and where ever they met they had to rock, paper, scissors . If you lost you would have to run back to your group and the next person in your group would have to run. if the opposite team go to your side of the hoops they would win.
After that game we sat back in a circle and talked about the problems we come across during school hours or at home. Some people said washing the dishes or cleaning the house and some people said math problems or reading topics. Miss Lily and Mr Matt were really interested and what we said and were laughing at us because nobody was participating so they said "You must have no problems at all then" and everybody started laughing. Then we got into our next game.
Our next game was called mat dodge ball. In this game we got put into groups from 1 to 5. Then Miss Lily would call out a number and the people in that group would have to go into the middle of the circle and dodge the ball. The last people in their group would be the winner. At the end the person who won out of their groups would have to vs the other teams.
After that we played GKQ, In this we would have to stand up up in to and call out the answer with no buzzer. Then we went onto points, We got all 5's and that ended up with the points of 25 points.

Kiwi can
LI: To be respectful to myself and others. LI: To not talk when somebody else is talking.
This week for kiwi can we have been learning about goal setting. When we walked into the classroom we made four lines and had a little talk about what we learnt last week. After we had that talk we hoped straight into our energizer.
For our energizer we played snatch, In this game we had to make a circle and grab onto the rope, And after all of us have the rope we had to drop it on the floor. The next thing we had to do was walk around the rope well Miss Lily plays the music, When Miss Lily stops the music we would have to grab one of the cones in the middle. After our energizer Mr Matt was talking to us about what we want wanna set for a goal, Why we wanna a goal and what is the goal for. After we talked about that, We played the game octopus. In this game we had to try not get touch by the tagger but in this game the tagger must stay in the hoop and we would have to crawl, hop on one leg or walk straight through without getting tagged.
When we finish that game we played a quick game of GKQ and then hoped straight into our point system, We got a total of 23.5, We got all of them as a five accept respect, respect was the points of 3.5.

Kiwi can
This week for kiwi can we talked about setting goals. Heaps of people raise there hands to tell LS1 B what there goals were, Some people wanted to be SPCA helpers, Some wanted to be doctors and some wanted to be leaders. Mr Matt and Mrs Lily were blown away when they heard all our ideas and goals. After we finish talking we got strait in the energizer, Our energizer was snatch. In snatch we had to get one tag from Mrs Lily and Mr Matt, Then we had to get in a spot and Mr Matt would call out 3, 2, 1, go. We all had to run around and try rip off everyone's tag, The girls discussed that we were all gonna go for the boys but the boys were going for boys so it made our job easier. Then we talked about our next game, Our next game was called ball trouble. In this game you had to find a buddy but there was a twist, A girl had to partner up with a boy and a boy had to partner with a girl, Mr Ogilvie pretended to be a girl because there was not enough girls. The game was called ball trouble. The way you played this game is you and your partner would have the ball in one of your body parts, And Mr Matt or Mrs Lily would say which body part. Once you had it on one of your body parts you would have to walk to the end of the class and back. Obviously our team one, plus Sandra and Matthew beat Mr Ogilvie and Acin and thats' how we one, but we only one by one point.

Kiwi can
This week for kiwi can we were talking about integrity and accountability because our theme was integrity and our topic was accountability. We talked about what accountability was and how to be accountable. Then we played our energizer. Our energizer was shark attack. In shark attack we had to swim around like fish and when Miss Lily said shark attack we would have to hope in a hoop and if you get tagged you have to sit on the lino. But Mr Matt, Miss Lily and Mr Ogilvie would take hoops away and walk around with the hoops. Our second game we played was hand soccer. In hand soccer we would have 14 teams and Miss Lily would call out 1 2 or 3 numbers
and whoever has that number would have to try
and get the ball into the other teams goal andthen we would have to shake hands.
