Cheng I Sao

This week for reading we had to create a DLO explaining the story we read which was Cheng I Sao. In the DLO we had to include a piece of movement, audio or video. We also included the story, the questions and answers, the purposes a lessons and the video.

This week for reading we have read about the women who was a pirate which was Cheng I Sao, This was one of the best known pirate women in the world that was from china and we also read about how Cheng I sao was asked to be married by another pirate and this pirate wanted to marry Cheng I sao so badly that he said he would give her silk cloths, Make up & Slaves and more but Cheng I Sao wasn't pleased she wanted more so she said she'd only marry the pirate if he gave her power.

In our DLO we had to in included images/animations, talking videos of our heads speaking, video clips and then voice overs. In our DLO we had eight slides which were the title, the story of Cheng I Sao, The questions and answers, The purposes and lessons, The images of Cheng I Sao, another slide of cheng I Sao and then the video clips and talking heads. In our video we had had voice overs in it with photos of cheng I Sao. After we talked about the story in our video we had to explain the purposes and lessons of the story and then our DLO was finished.

After that we had to put our video onto the google slide or DLO that we had to ctreated. Then we had to blog the work that we have done.

Cheng I Sao

This week for reading we had to create a DLO explaining the story we read which was Cheng I Sao.
In the DLO we had to include a piece of movement, audio or video. We also included the story, the
questions and answers, the purposes a lessons and the video.

We used this theme as our background because we thought it was a interesting color and because it suited the color that Cheng I Sao was wearing. In our DLO we had seven slide which were the title, the story, the questions and answers, the purpose and lessens and then the video. I n the story we added extra detail just to explain the story really good. In the questions we asked interesting questions so we could get others attention and make them think of the answer to the question we asked. The purpose and lessons were explaining why they created the story and what the character was about and the video is like the story that we explained but animated. After we finished creating our DLO we had to do our reading notes and then publish our work.

A piece of paradise

    LI: To identify the purpose or meaning of a story. This week for reading we have been learning about to identify the purpose or meaning of a story. This week for reading we did general knowledge, character kete and word master.

In general knowledge we had to find maps and photos of us pointing at the map of the country we picked. In general knowledge we had to pick a country from term 3 week 8 slide and find information about it. The some of the information we had to find was us taking a photo of us pointing at the country on the map, Some other things we had to do was look for the flags and then put them on the slide and then write about the country. In character kete we had to find a book and read it, After we did that we had to explain what the book was about. After that we would have to write down things that you think the main character would carry in there bag or kete. In word master we had to look for Latin and Greek words that means things in there language and in our language.

This week for our must do we had to create a DLO explaining what our book was about. I chose the book a piece of paradise. For my DLO I chose a google slide because it had lots of information to include and it was easier to work on. In my DLO I had seven slides and in those slides were the title, my prediction, my visualizing, the story, my questioning, my purposes, and my summary. The reason I put these in this order is because before you read a book you always want to guess what the book is going to be about. the other reason I put the other things where they are is because thats where they belong so they can be in order.

In the beginning

This week for reading we had to create a DLO explaining the lessons of a pacific myth and legend.
We had to create a DLO to explain what the story (In the beginning) that we read was about. I had seven slides in my google slide.

The first slide had the title, The second slide had the prediction, The third slide had the story about the story, The fourth slide had the picture of me visualizing what the story look like, the fifth slide had the questions that I had asked, the sixth slide had the four purposes I wrote down and the seventh slide had the summary that I thought the book was about.  I put prediction in the second because when you predict you have to think about what the story is gonna be about just by looking at the title and cover photo. The reason I put the story in the third slide is because I put my visualizing in the fourth slide. The reason I put the questioning in the fifth slide is because when you read a story you think about it and then wonder what will happen next. The reason I put the purpose in the sixth slide is because when you think about a story your gonna think of why they wrote the story and the reason I put the summary on the last slide is because your gonna summarize what just happen with the story

Izanami and Izanagi

This week for reading we have been learning about Myths, Legends and Fairy tales. I read a story called Izanagi and Izanami. This story was about a man and a woman who traveled from heaven to hell to battle the demons and devil. The woman died from heat fever and the man battled the demons and devils by himself.

We had to create a DLO explaining the purpose of this story. My DLO included 7 slides. the first one was talking about Izanami and Izanagi, the second one was a video of Izanami and Izanagi, the third one was talking about Izanami, the fourth one was talking about Izanagi, the fifth on was talking about me summarizing what the story and the last one was the questions, But the very first one was the titled.

Maui

LI: To find information about Maui and the sun. LI: To set a goal of finishing my work.
This week for Reading we had to Research about Maui and the sun. We had to create a DLO, My DLO included the question of Who is Maui, The second thing i had in my DLO was a the purpose of this story. The third thing i had on my DLO was the questions you could ask after reading the story and the last thing i had on my DLO was the story of Maui and a short paragraph of me telling yous about the story. Before all of this we had to make a copy of the slide on the class site and fill in the question.

Tengu

 LI: To create a DLO about the Tengu stories. This week for reading we had to find at least three story's about the Tengu's. If we were working in buddys we would have to find at least 6 or 7 stories. For our must do we had to create a DLO telling us what purpose of each story we found was. I put the story in a shorter sentence and linked the story the to the proper story. I added photos to give people ideas of what the story look like and what the Tengu's were. I did 5 different stories even though we were supposed to do three.

Fairy Tale, Legends and Myths

LI: To understand the meaning of Fairy Tale, Legends and Myths

This week for reading we learnt about Fairy Tale, Legends and Myths. I worked with Victoria. We looked at this story that told us about what Fairy Tale, Legends and Myths are. I learnt that some Legends are based on historical facts, I also learnt that some legends can be fake but still be
believed. I learnt that a fairy tale has lots of conflict that can be solved into solutions, I also learnt that a fairy tale normally at least 2 magical things. I learnt that a myth is believed by false gods, I also learnt that most myths are based on gods, demigods, and the explanation of a natural fact. Before we wrote this we had to make a copy of the google drawing and the google slide that Mr Wong created. On the google slide we had to use a general knowledge and see we we should put all the things that we use when we read books. if you go through the google slide you will see where we put all the things we use to help us with reading. We went on a google drawing and compared a fairy tale, a legend and a myth, We read from the story and wrote the facts that we found on the google drawing.

The silent red book

LI : To write a paragraph using dialogue.
This week for reading we read a book called The silent red book.
In the book there is a dog and a human. The dog and human find eachother
when they are wondering on the streets. They go up on a hill where the dog
usually goes when he is alone. They head back and say their goodbyes and
then leave. This book included no words only a calm song. We had to make
a google slide showing words that you think they said in the book. you had
to add photos from the book and put speech marks on the top of the people
to make it look like they are talking.

Not so Normal Quiz

LI: To infer information form the text. This week we had to summarize the book from last week it was called not so normal. This book was about a boy called normal who is from a galaxy called Andromeda. Tj's dad found him in the middle of the road he was cold and wet so dad gave him a jacket. eh took him home and made him beans on toast. It was Normal's first time seeing a meadow.
He hid his space ship in a cow when he went and discovered dominated species. This week we had to make a quiz that included questions from the story not so normal. If you worked with a partner you have to do 10 questions each but if you worked alone you have to do 5 questions. Me and charlize work together and i already finish my quiz for her but im waiting for her to finish her quiz for me.\
