MRS GREN | Venus fly trap

This week for inquiry we made a presentation showing how the Venus flytrap
is a living organism by talking about how it follows the 7 life processes of
MRS GREN. We had to talk about how the venus flytrap uses Movement,
Respiration, Sensitivity, Growth, Reproduction, Excretion and Nutrition.
After we created our D.L.O we had to present it to the whole class.

Compulsory tasks

This week for inquiry my group did some of the compulsory task. They were drawing, sculpting, narrative and explanation. Pua and Sione did the drawing of the respiratory system and the Circulatory system. Miiana, Alayah and I did the sculpting of the respiratory system and the circulatory system. I did the Explanation about the circulatory system. Last Nicole did the narrative for the circulatory system. Pua and Sione got 2 credits for the drawing,Miiana, Alayah and florence  got one credit for the sculpting, I got 2 credits for the explanation and I got another credit for the narrative

Netiquette

LI : To interact in kind, helpful and positive ways.
This week for cyber smart we were learning about Do's and Don't.
We learnt that whenever writing to somebody make sure you Don't
use bad language and Do treat people the way you want to be treated.
This week we did a Netiquette on a google drawing we had to do to
side one side was of Do's and one side was of Don't. We had to write
Do's and Don'ts about when we write to somebody or write on
somebody's blog.

Fractions

LI : Fractions, decimals and percentages.

This week for Math we were learning about fractions. We learnt that a fraction is equal parts to a whole. In a fraction there is a numerator and a denominator. The denominator is the bottom number and the numerator is the top number. This week we had to use material around the class to try and solve the fraction equations that Mr Ogilvie put up for us. We learnt about fractions, decimals, and percentages.

Commenting

This week i commented on farzanas kiwi can blog post. I commented on her blog post because i thought it was really amazing to read. Also the way she put her sentences in her blurb were outstanding to read. but i really think she should put more photos in so people get a picture in there head. She did a really good job and i would like to see this even more.

Not so Normal

  

LI : To infer from reading a text
This week for reading we were learning about inferring. Inferring is when you read between the lines and find out new information. This week we did a I think...T chart In the I think...T chart we had to write six inferring using a book that we read called Not so Normal. Then after the I think...T chart we did a story board and in the story board we  had to infer what they are doing.
