Persuasive writing

This week for writing we have been learning about persuasive writing. This week we had to make a copy of the DLO on the class site. On this DLO we had to look at the paragraphs of the story "Why should children have mobile phones at school?"

In this we had to highlight all of the Emotive words, Infinitive words and cause and effect words. Mr Wong had given us 20 minutes to finish this task. We all started of by copying and pasting the paragraphs into the planner. Then we highlighted the infinitive text first , then the cause and effects and then the emotive. We used yellow to highlight the infinitive tense, We used red for emotive words and we used blue for cause and effect.

In this we did the structure O.R.E.O, O.R.E.O stands for Opinion, Reasons, Explanation and then another Opinion. We used persuasive language feature to highlight the words. The reason that it has opinion two times is because you have your first opinion and then when you do some research you figure out your last opinion.
