This week we went to the Auckland Sky Tower to help us with our inquiry.
We looked at the year it was built, How much it cost to build, The length, the height and the width.
We also looked at a 10 minute video that gave us lots of information like why they built the sky
tower and what they used to build it.The year it was built was 1997, the cost was 75 million, the
wight was 2000 elephants and the height was 324 meters. We went up to level 51 and 45, The
first elevator we went on had a glass floor to stand on, when you stood on it, it would feel like its
gonna brake and there was also glass windows so we could see the view off it. When we got up
to level 51 we got handed a piece of paper and on this piece of paper there would be a arrow
pointing to it and we would have to find out what it was called. We looked at the view and saw a
person bungee jump off the sky tower. Then we went to level 45, the lady that was instructing us
told us about level 44, 45 and 46, she said that those three levels were for fires and emergencies
she also said that there was hard metal that people could cut threw so that they could rescue
others. Then we went down to the ground level, that’s when we watched the video. After we
watched the video we went straight to the start and the sky tower and hoped on the bus.
